Pros and cons of JamUp Pro app for iPhone and iPad

JamUp Pro app good for

The amp modeling is outstanding: as far as tone, dynamics, and the effort to keep the character of the instrument you plug in are concerned it could be damn near perfect... Concerning the amp modules management, I must admit conception is pretty crappy. As a mater of fact, losing the amp packs you purchased, just by upgrading to the latest version means to me...no tests have been performed before submitting the code to the apple store. Quality management is a part of my job, and my company wouldnt have accepted such a mistake without applying corrections as soon as the bug was discovered. That said, Im looking forward to hearing from the development team very soon! Updated July, 19th: just the day after I submitted my review, the development team released the latest version of jamup xt pro! Maybe a coincidence... Whatever made it happen is a proof that the customers satisfaction is on top of the priorities of this company. Let me rate this application back to 5 stars, as both its tone quality and the after sale service are truly satisfying. Thank you!
Pro quality, ideal for on the go usage. Integration with bias is a must.
The sync function does restore the metal pack in bias Fx now, thanks !
Sounds better than your competitors and cost less! Could you want more ?
Love it - along Bias from the same developers one of my "go to" guitar apps and "the" app I use for jamming along.
Really enjoying this app. Bought some expansion sets. Just one thing though: When using iRig there is an aweful lot of feedback when youre not using an extreme noise gate which will kill off any sustain. For Metal Chuba Chuba, you could care less, but everything else suffers from this flaw.

Some bad moments

The latency is much too high for this app to be concidered more than just a kids toy. Depending on which effects were used, the latency was between 60 and 300 ms. I think this is because the iPhones AD/DA converters are not made for low latency so other apps will probably not be doing it better.
First it took weeks to release the update Now the Metal pack sync does not work Please fix asap
So you are already logged in with your apple id. You pay for their product through the ion app purchase, through the App Store. But wait! Theres more! You need to sign in and let your Facebook account be hijacked by these people in order to use the stuff you just paid for. No. Wheres my refund?
The pitch shift is good but only shifts by a multiple of few semitones. All mp3 I downloaded are out of tune by about half of a semitone so that this feature I could never use, always retuned my guitar. Bass samples are just crap never look any close to a bass guitar. Distortion, it is much better if I use any cheap pedal. Reverberation effect takes so much CPU that my latest iPad gets to its knees. All in all - a lot of things to improve to get it usable.
Positive Grid makes great products. I had have had Jam Up XT for some time and just purchased Bias for iPad, which is awesome. So I thought I would upgrage to JamUp Pro. This is not an upgrage, it is a new purchase. All the amps, effects and modules I had purchased dont tansfer to the new version. You dont find this out until you go to their webpage to look for support because you suddenly have a lot less amps, effects, etc. This would have been very good to know up front. I would not have purchased the Pro Version. If you dont have any version of JamUp then get the Pro version as you get more stuff up front, but be aware if you are upgrading that you may have to purchase items you already paid for again.
JamPlayer feature has never supported songs stored on iCloud (big disappointment) but if you subscribe to Apple Music it will not support ANY songs on your device as it sees them all as remote (even if you download them to your phone)

Usually JamUp Pro iOS app used & searched for

guitar pedal, guitar pedals, guitar amplifier, jam up, and other. So, download free JamUp Pro .ipa to run this nice iOS application on iPhone and iPad.
