Preset Syncing Does Not Work

The effects are great and support is responsive, but backing up and restoring presents and preset banks is broken for me and other users. One user reported this issue 6+ months ago. For a paid application, I would expect a basic feature like this to get fixed quicker. I’m looking forward to adjusting my review when this gets fixed.

Amazing!!!!!

Perfect tone for Pa system! Thanks Positive Grid.

uhau!!

Murphys Law. After had spent hundreds of dollars buying so many different Apps, JamUp Pro was my last try and the only one that really worths the price. Finally I have found what I was looking for a Guitar Sound Processor.

Change of Heart. PG is now part of my rig and always will be!

PG is amazing. Get JamUp Pro, Bias Amp, all the Bias Amp Packs and Bias FX. Dont buy JamUp free(red) in app upgrades. Try JamUp free red and if you like it remove it and get JamUp Pro, Bias Amp, All the Amp packs, all the effects you like and if you record and or plan to make PG part of your live rig then get Bias FX also. Bias FX Factory sounds are awful so go strait to Tone Cloud. My personal fave is Queensryche but SRV and Jimmy Hendrix are great to. I have made PG part of my live rig and liquidated my Line 6 junk because Positive Grid smokes them! I am using a Griffin Dock but might try Behringers also. Use a dock. iPad is a powerful tool when you use Bias.

Griffin StompBox not working with update

I use this app extensively and absolutely love it. However, the latest update doesnt seem to recognize the Griffin StompBox any more. Bummer as I have my live banks programmed to incorporate the StompBox. :(

Great App

Buy it.

I love this program but...

A bug was introduced in the recent build at least on an iPhone 5s. When jamming with an MP3/song file, the start of the song delays, and the displayed elapsed and remaining times show garbage values. Also, a longstanding issue - I like to use A/B looping but the loop button is too small.

Annoying feedback

I loved this app but i cant get the loud high pitched feedback to go away i switched cables guitars and it happens even before i play a note when its not plugged in i wish i could fix it because this is a great app otherwise

The best sound you can get for Guitar

Finally had the chance to use Bias FX and Jamup Pro on our rehearsal and I couldnt believe how great it sounded. I just plug my iPad to my Fender Ramparte that only has volume and all tube and in no time I was playing my guitar while everyone was still setting their equipment! Beautiful sound and so much options that is unbelievable but real! Love it!

Very awesome app for your guitar

I use it with my electric guitar and I love the things on it it is just that great.

Absolutely awful

Huge waste of money. The amp sounds are mediocre at best and downright vomit inducing 90% of the time. Not to mention lack of diversity between amp models overall sounds. $10 gets you basic tones which you can expand upon with in app purchases that do very little at relatively high prices. Save your money. The sounds are on par with something Danelectro would produce and thats pretty terrible. Wish I could get a refund on this musical ponzi scheme

This is my thing

Contains all the essentials for any type of tone you could possibly want.

Expensive, not as good as the competition and noisy

Despite utilizing either the Alesis IO Dock2 or the Behringer iStudio with a well built ESP guitar, active pickups and rather expensive cables...the sound quality is always meh. In fact, dare I say has much more feedback and noise processing through it than either Amplitube or Ampkit using the first IKmedia iRig(which was feedback hell$ and the metal expansion packs all sound incredibly muddy no matter how i adjust the "knobs" and effects chain....and i am by no means a novice in this field. The IAPs are rather expensive, which seems to be a norm with a lot of these guitar apps. However the quality and overall amount of effects makes it a tad more pricey than amplitube. Sure it will not cost the price of a new tube amp, a multi processor amp simulator by Boss but for the quality of the peddles, they are no where near as tonality superior as Ampkit. Sadly though, Ampkit does not support dock interfaces. After dropping some money on this app hoping it would get better after i bought most of the different amps....still sounds bad. Wish i could be refunded on this.

Loud popping and hissing noises

Setup is irig hd, latest jamup pro release with ipad 3, loud popping and hissing noises which happened starting with ios9 upgrade, hopefully it gets fixed asap before using it for a live small venue direct line in gig

Flawless with bias

Works flawlessly with bias. Amazing amazing sound engine. Cant believe how much is sounds like the real deal. Fantastic. Definitely my amp sim of choice. Couple that with the ability to export amps from BIAS AMP into JamUp and youve got a powerhouse. Thanks positive grid!

Great tool for musicians!

I use this app for playing live and for recording. The base app is nice but the expansions really open up amps and pedals that give the right tones. Not every expansion is perfect, but the mix available gives nearly unlimited creativity. Compared to going to the local music shop and dropping well over $100 for a pedal, it really has a lot of value. I use an iRig pro and Blueboard for interface and preset changes. Once you dial in your tones with a pair of studio monitors this app sounds awesome for direct recording. I have yet to experience hissing our noise in higher gain settings.

Jam

The jam feature closes the app on my phone. This should be fixed.

Best app so far for guitarrists

Doesnt matter if you are on your computer or your phone, PositiveGrid gives you the best apps modelers ever! I have used every single one out there, and this is astounding. Thank you PG for this.

Consider their Bias FX before buying.

You wouldnt know it from the JamUp product page, but this company actually has a next-gen app that largely supplants JamUp for effects processing. Its call Bias FX. Before you drop a lot of money on JamUp and its in-app purchases, be sure you consider whether Bias FX, which is pretty clearly their path forward, isnt what you actually should buy. I wish I had.

Easy to use, and sounds phenomenal live

JamUp Pro has the best interface by far for an amp sim app. Its really easy to use and it sounds incredible. I jammed with a band and they were blown away with his real it sounds through a P.A. It even has the balls of a real amp. For those with the popping and hissing, just put on airplane mode. I get that every once in a while and airplane mode fixes it completely.
